"By deploying Amber Road's Export On-Demand solution, the University of Miami has improved its higher education and research compliance processes, helping meet today's regulatory compliance mandates."

Export Compliance Officer, University of Miami

After an analysis of the progressively complex export control regulatory environment, the University of Miami (UM), a leading private research university, quickly realized its own export compliance processes could not effectively manage risks. They needed a way to improve their compliance operations and reduce exposure to compliance risks.

To achieve its goals, UM implemented the restricted party screening (RPS) module of Amber Road's Export On-Demand solution. They also chose Amber Road to streamline and manage their export license requirements, as well as address challenges in identifying export control classification numbers (ECN) and harmonized tariff schedule (HTS) numbers. Export On-Demand is accessible to all UM colleges and departments, and is deployed across the university's three main campuses and satellite locations.

  • Reduced deemed export risk
  • Enhanced regulatory compliance
  • Improved employee compliance awareness
