EAST RUTHERFORD,
NJ, June 24, 2009 -- Management
Dynamics, Inc., a leading
provider of
Global Trade Management (GTM)
solutions, today announced its
successful completion of a
Statement on Auditing Standards
No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II Audit.
The audit was performed by an
independent auditing firm and
included an in-depth examination
of the company’s operating
infrastructure for its GTM
solutions. The results of this
audit demonstrate Management
Dynamics’ commitment to
implementing and maintaining a
control environment that ensures
that customer data is accurate
and secure.
Established by the American
Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA), a SAS 70
examination is widely recognized
because it represents that a
service organization's internal
control activities that relate
to an audit of the financial
statements of its customers have
been examined. A Type II report
not only includes the service
organization's description of
controls, but also includes
tests of operating effectiveness
of the service organization's
controls.
"In today's global economy,
service organizations must
demonstrate that they have
adequate controls and safeguards
when they host or process data
belonging to their customers,"
said Glenn Gorman, Vice
President of Global Hosting,
Management Dynamics. "Our GTM
solutions are currently deployed
to over 14,000 users in 70
countries at some of the world’s
leading retailers, manufacturers
and logistics providers. The SAS
70 certification demonstrates
our commitment to providing the
highest quality services to our
customers and further validates
the security and accuracy of
their global trade
transactions."
Completion of the SAS 70 Type II
examination indicates that the
processes, procedures and
controls relating to Management
Dynamics’ hosting operations
have been formally evaluated and
tested by an independent
accounting and auditing firm.
The examination included the
company's established control
objectives related to customer
setup and ongoing maintenance,
change management, secure
communications and data
interfaces, information
security, operations monitoring
and management, logical and
physical access, and data backup
and restore.
Management Dynamics' GTM
solutions are delivered under a
SaaS (software as a service)
model from state-of-the-art data
centers which allow customers to
reduce total cost of ownership,
accelerate implementation and
minimize system support
activities so that they can
focus on running their business.
