ROCKVILLE, MD -- June 25, 2002 -- NextLinx Corporation, the leading provider of global trade content and management solutions, which was acquired by Management Dynamics in October 2005, today announced the launch of Trade Documents, a Web service, the industry's first automated solution that simplifies and accelerates the preparation and filing of all documents, licenses and permits required for international shipping.
Trade Documents incorporates all business rules associated with each document at the time of document selection and provides user features controls such as edit/preview capabilities, supports customer-specific logos and protects final document modes. In addition, the product provides sophisticated error-handling capabilities, supports multiple languages and provides access to a growing number of international trade documents that will reach 2000 templates by the end of 2002. The current documents include over 500 commercial documents in 10 different languages. An existing Trade Documents customer is Cendian Corporation.
"As the premier lead logistics provider to the chemical and plastics industries, Cendian provides a global transportation solution," said Mark Kaiser, chief executive officer, Cendian Corporation. "As part of this solution, our clients look to us to seamlessly administer their worldwide documentation requirements, and we chose NextLinx because of their leadership in both content and technology."
The electronic generation of all documents allows organizations to maintain full regulatory compliance with the most up-to-date trade rules and regulations and ensures Customs clearance at port of departure and port of entry. The solution comes with standard adapters for all major ERPs, can be easily integrated into existing legacy systems and is a cost-effective means to address compliance responsibilities.
"Our innovative Trade Documents solution helps companies streamline and manage the entire documentation compliance process by electronically preparing and distributing all necessary forms required for cross-border trade," said Rajiv Uppal, founder, president and CEO of NextLinx Corporation. "Trade Documents helps companies avoid costly fines and time delays associated with missing trade documentation and offers a low-risk, rapid ROI solution for global corporations."
Trade Documents allows importers and exporters to minimize and manage administrative costs associated with documentation needs, expediting the shipping process and increasing customer service levels. As either a Web-based or a hosted solution, Trade Documents incorporates SSL encryption for maximum security as well as support for digital signatures and document vaulting capabilities to maximize efficiency and ease of use for all parties involved in documentation of cross-border trade.
NextLinx will be demonstrating its Trade Documents and other Global Trade Management solutions at the eyefortransport West Conference and Exposition, June 25-26, 2002, San Francisco, Booth 28.
