EAST RUTHERFORD,
NJ, January 25, 2007 --
Management Dynamics, Inc., a
leading provider of Global Trade
Management (GTM) solutions, has
today announced an expansion of
its operations in Asia Pacific.
This addition follows the build
out of sales and operational
units in Europe and India,
designed to meet the demands of
its growing Asian customer base.
Through this international
expansion, Management Dynamics
underlines its GTM market
leadership in supporting
mission-critical compliance,
logistics and supply chain
management solutions for over
13,000 users worldwide.
“Asia Pacific is unquestionably
the focus of world trade
attention with unprecedented
rates of inward investment and
growth in volume of exports
expected to accelerate over the
next five years. As companies
look for ways to minimize the
cost and risk involved in
sourcing, manufacturing,
distributing and selling their
products in these markets,
instant access to the software
applications and resources we
provide is an invaluable asset
in their decision-making
process,” said Raymond Yuen,
Director, Management Dynamics.
“Opening an office in the region
is the logical next step for
Management Dynamics, and we look
forward to helping our customers
make better-informed decisions
in this challenging but exciting
trading environment.”
At the same time, Management
Dynamics has appointed Paul
Windfield as Managing Director
Asia Pacific, to oversee the
launch and sales development
strategy for the company’s
operations in the region. A
highly experienced business
development executive, Windfield
joins Management Dynamics with
an impressive pedigree in
international shipping,
logistics and technology,
including 26 years with P&O
Nedlloyd Container Line, where
he was a member of the Board as
Director responsible for Sales
globally. During his career
operating in a variety of
different international
postings, Windfield helped PONL
to achieve substantial revenue
growth and service delivery
expansion across its global
shipping lanes serving Europe,
North America, Latin America,
Asia and Australasia, developing
a range of internal and external
sales programs and improvement
strategies, successfully
implementing new technology and
Ecommerce services, and managing
a combined sales force of
approximately 1,500 personnel
worldwide.
Commenting on his appointment,
Paul Windfield stated,
“Operating in Asia requires
considerable investment in terms
of establishing personal
relationships, building a
network of local partnerships
and understanding the particular
business and cultural practices
of the countries concerned.
Management Dynamics has already
done this successfully for a
number of years, and I am
delighted to have been given the
opportunity to leverage my
history and knowledge of Asia
Pacific commerce to help them
take the company forward in this
region. I’m also very fortunate
to be joining an organization
with a compelling sales
proposition in a high growth
market sector, supported by some
of the strongest customer
references any sales executive
could ask for.”
For over 17 years, Management
Dynamics has focused on helping
customers dramatically improve
the performance of their global
trading operations. Today,
Management Dynamics is a leading
provider of on-demand solutions
for strategic sourcing,
import/export compliance, supply
chain visibility, logistics
contract management, supplier
collaboration, supply chain
analytics and trade finance. Its
new Asia Pacific subsidiary,
based in Sydney, Australia, will
enable the company to capitalize
on the vast commercial and
technological opportunity in the
region, as well as enhance
service levels for global
customers including Apple
Computer, Agilent Technologies,
Bosch, Cisco, DHL, Fairchild
Semiconductor, Google,
Panasonic, Tyco, UPS and VF
