The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of marketing and sales support projects to help carry out the European marketing and sales plans. The Marketing Specialist will join the European marketing team and report to the Marketing Director Europe.
Responsibilities:
Develop lead generation concepts and manage the development of each into a specific campaign, such as event sponsorship and arranging one-2-one meetings
Pre-qualify inquiries/leads generated via web, PPC, linkedin and other sources using e-mail and possibly phone
Write and follow-up on executive level targeted letters and e-mails
Utilizing Marketo Lead Management tool, segment prospect lists and execute campaigns and reporting
Manage Search Engine Optimization (SEO) performance:
– Improve quality of online (German) content with key search terms to drive organic search results
– Develop and maintain content on European and specifically German social media websites and blogs to improve industry leadership and quality of leads
Optimize German PPC campaigns with Google Analytics to improve click through rates and conversions on company website from LinkedIn, Xing and Google
Develop and provide reports based on information collected such as marketing trends, competition, new products, and pricing
Organize seminars and participation to conferences/tradeshows with the aim to generate leads
Qualifications:
Must be native German speaking
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German
2 - 6 year of previous experience in marketing or inside sales for a software company or in the export/trade compliance space required
Must have a BA or MBA level education
Ability to communicate complex features or benefits in a way that connects with the target market
Is self directed and can work independently, as well as in a team structure
Can take initiative and take decisions as necessary
Able to travel 10-25%

Key responsibility of this position is to manage the global import/export trade compliance process and ensures compliance with relevant government laws and regulations.
